The website www.implantoloski-center.si is managed by the company Implantološki center d.o.o., Mlaška cesta 109, 4000 Kranj (hereinafter: Implantološki center; also referred to as »we«).
This privacy policy explains in detail how we use the personal data you provide to us when using the website and when ordering services offered by the Implantološki center.
1. What is personal data?
Personal data is information that directly or indirectly identifies you as an individual, where »indirectly« means in combination with other information, e.g., your name, postal address, email address, telephone number, identification number, location data, or other identifiers.
2. What personal data do we collect?
If you are only a visitor to the Implantološki center websites, we collect data about you only through the use of cookies. If you have booked an appointment with us, we also collect other personal data needed to carry out the appointment reservation. This personal data includes:
- first and last name;
- contact email address;
- contact telephone number.
3. How do we use (process) your personal data?
All provided personal data is treated confidentially and is used solely for the purpose for which it was provided. Implantološki center takes a very serious approach to data security. We use an appropriate level of protection and have established reasonable physical, electronic, and administrative measures to protect the collected data from accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of personal data, or unauthorized access to personal data that has been transferred, stored, or otherwise processed. Our information protection policies and procedures are closely aligned with widely accepted international standards and are regularly reviewed and updated as necessary to comply with our business needs, changes in technology, and regulatory requirements. Access to your personal data is permitted only to personnel, service providers who need this data for business reasons (business »need-to-know«), or those who need it to perform their work.
In the event of a personal data security breach, Implantološki center will follow all relevant data breach regulations.
In the case of ordering a paid service, based on tax regulations for the correct issuance of an invoice, we also obtain and process your address.
Implantološki center undertakes not to sell, lend, or otherwise forward the data you provide via the website or in any other way to third parties, except in the cases listed below and unless regulations dictate otherwise.
Implantološki center will disclose your personal data only to the specified third parties under the conditions written below, whereby Implantološki center will ensure that your personal data is processed, protected, and transferred in accordance with applicable regulations:
External service providers
If necessary, we will authorize other companies and individuals to perform certain tasks that contribute to our services. For example, we may provide personal data to contractors for hosting our database and applications, for data processing services, or for sending information you have requested, for providing support services, etc. We will provide or make such data accessible to external service providers only to the extent required by a specific purpose. They will not be allowed to use this data for any other purposes. External service providers of Implantološki center are contractually bound to respect the confidentiality of your personal data.
Business transfers
In connection with any reorganization, status transformation, sale, or any other transfer of assets (collectively referred to as »business transfers«), we will transfer data to a reasonable extent and as necessary for the business transfer, provided that the receiving party undertakes to respect your personal data in accordance with applicable personal data protection regulations. We will continue to ensure the confidentiality of all personal data and notify affected users before personal data becomes subject to another privacy policy.
Public authorities
We will disclose your personal data to public authorities only in cases where required by national legislation or European Union law. Implantološki center will, for example, respond to requests from courts, law enforcement agencies, and other state authorities, which may also include state authorities of another EU member state.
4. Legitimate interest
Based on legitimate interest, we use your personal data within the framework of ensuring the stable operation of our system and services, as well as for the purposes of implementing information security measures, meeting service quality requirements, and detecting technical failures of systems and services.
Based on legitimate interest, we also use your personal data for the purposes of potential enforcement, judicial, and extrajudicial collection.
5. Your rights regarding your personal data
Individuals can request access to personal data, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing of your personal data from Implantološki center; you have the right to object to processing and the portability of your personal data.
Right to information: you always have the right to know whether personal data concerning you is being processed and, if so, access to the personal data and the following information: (a) purposes of processing; (b) types of personal data concerned; (c) users or categories of users to whom personal data has been or will be disclosed; (d) the planned period of retention of personal data or, if this is not possible, the criteria used to determine this period; (e) when personal data is not collected from you, all available information regarding its source.
Right to rectification: you have the right to have inaccurate personal data concerning you corrected and, taking into account the purposes of processing, the right to have incomplete personal data completed.
Right to erasure: you have the right to have your personal data deleted when one of the following reasons applies:
(a) the personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed; (b) when you withdraw the consent on which the processing is based and where there is no other legal basis for the processing; (c) when you object to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate reasons for their processing; (d) the personal data has been processed unlawfully.
Right to restriction of processing: you have the right to have the processing of your personal data restricted when one of the following cases applies:
(a) when you contest the accuracy of the data, for a period that allows us to verify the accuracy of the personal data; (b) the processing is unlawful and you oppose the erasure of the personal data and request the restriction of its use instead; (c) we no longer need your personal data for processing purposes, but you need it for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims; (d) if you have filed an objection regarding processing based on the legitimate interests of Implantološki center, until it is verified whether our legitimate reasons override your reasons.
Where the processing of your personal data has been restricted in accordance with the previous paragraph, such personal data, with the exception of its storage, shall be processed only with your consent, or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person.
Before canceling the restriction on the processing of your personal data, we are obliged to inform you.
Right to data portability: you have the right to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and the right to transmit this data to another controller when the processing is based on your consent or the processing is carried out by automated means. At your request, where technically feasible, personal data can be directly transferred to another controller.
Right to object: when we process your data based on legitimate interest for marketing purposes, you can object to such processing at any time.
Right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner: if we do not decide on your request within the legal deadline or if we reject your request, you have the possibility of lodging a complaint with the Information Commissioner.
6. Access and correction of your personal data and exercise of other rights
As a user of the Implantološki center website or a subscriber to Implantološki center services, you have the right to check whether Implantološki center processes personal data about you and to access the personal data we store or process about you (in this case, we will provide it to you in the form of a PDF document that is machine-readable). You can always request that inaccurate personal data about you be corrected. If you believe that there is no longer a justified reason for the further use or processing of your personal data, please let us know, however, we are not allowed to delete certain personal data that we collect based on the Value Added Tax Act. You also have the right to restrict the use of your personal data in cases where you contest the accuracy of the personal data, when you assess that the processing is unlawful but do not want deletion, and when the personal data is no longer needed for the purpose of processing but you need it to enforce legal claims.
To exercise your described rights, please send us your request in writing via email to the address info@i-c.si. The responsible person will respond to your request within the prescribed period of 1 month. In case of complexity and a large number of requests, we may extend the deadline by a maximum of two additional months, of which you will be informed.
7. Retention
Implantološki center stores data related to the services performed for one month after the completion of the service. After this time, we delete them, unless the law provides otherwise. Based on the provisions of tax regulations, for example, Implantološki center is obliged to keep invoices containing the personal data of the subscriber of Implantološki center services for 10 years after the service is performed.
Implantološki center will also not delete data that it needs to provide proof that it has deleted a person’s data (so-called audit trail), and to keep records of persons who do not want Implantološki center to contact them in the future. This data includes email address and first and last name.
8. Cookies
Implantološki center uses “cookies” on the website – these are small files that are stored on your computer when you visit the page. Cookies can facilitate your subsequent visits to the page. Through the settings in your browser, you can decide whether to accept or reject “cookies”.
If you do not accept »cookies«, some web pages may not be displayed correctly or you may not be allowed access to all information or functionalities of the web pages, but the acceptance of cookies is not a condition for using the Implantološki center website.

9. Change of privacy rules
Implantološki center reserves the right to change its privacy policy and update and change this privacy policy at any time at its own discretion. Therefore, we advise you to review this privacy policy regularly. Implantološki center will inform you about changes to these Privacy Rules by email only in the event of significant changes affecting the processing of personal data.
